Meet Poppet - A Gentle Soul Ready to Bloom
Poppet is a very sweet and affectionate pup who is still learning to trust the world around her. She came into care with several other dogs after being trapped by council, and while we don't know how long she was roaming, it's clear she missed out on early socialisation.
Though shy at first, Poppet loves gentle affection and being close to her people once she feels safe. She's still learning how to walk on lead and currently crawls both inside and out, so she'll need slow introductions to short, quiet walks to help her build confidence.
Poppet enjoys enrichment and puzzle toys, which help calm her mind and provide much-needed stimulation. She's currently most comfortable outside, but having access to both indoor and outdoor areas will help her feel like part of the family and build trust in her new home.
She would do best with calm, older children and owners experienced with fearful dogs. A home with a gentle, confident dog friend would also help her learn and grow at her own pace. Poppet is looking for a patient, loving family who will give her the time and space she needs to blossom into the beautiful companion she's meant to be.

- While our shelters are open, not every pet available for adoption will be onsite and available in person. To express your interest, Apply to Adopt online and if it's a perfect match you will be shortlisted and contacted via phone by our Adoption Team to discuss the animal in detail.
