Hi, I’m Midge
Meet Midge!
This is Midge's 2nd time in shelter:(
We had Midge here at Bundaberg when she was a pup. For some reason she was always overlooked by potential adopters who picked other puppies over her & she ended up staying with us for several months before she found a home. Now, due to no fault of her own, she is back.... & most likely feeling very bewildered & confused about returning here. Circumstances change; life happens & some dogs return to shelter.
What we can tell you is this: Midge has an absolutely beautiful personality. She is placid & gentle, a delight to take for a walk, calm & friendly around people & other dogs. A true gentle giant. She is a big girl but don't let that put you off. She settles well but is certainly happier when she is around her favourite people. She will lean into you for affection & reassurance & has the most beautiful deep brown eyes which see into your soul. She has a lovely calm vibe which can really help keep you grounded in this crazy world.
Midge has lived with children in the past & behaved appropriately around them, enjoying their company & attention. Dog savvy Kids who understand that dogs need respect are the kind of kids that Midge would appreciate living with.
Midge can, at times, feel a bit shy with new people & new surroundings, but with lots of positive experiences she will start to gain more confidence. She needs to be allowed to explore the world on her terms without being forced into situations that overwhelm her.
Living with another dog is certainly a possibility for Midge & we are more than happy to line up a meet & greet with potential canine companions. Suitable buddies for Midge may be older sociable male dogs. Midge is currently 32kg.
We would ask that Midge be allowed to live inside with her family. She will not thrive being left in a back yard & may even look for a way out to find her people.
Midge will make a wonderful companion; she just needs the right person to step forward & give her a chance. You will not regret welcoming sweet Midge into your life.
