Hi, I’m Prickles

Hi there my name is Prickles and I'm a stunning Spiny-Tailed/Ridge-Tailed Monitor!
You would likely find my species out and about during the day in the Northern Territory, northern Western Australia and some parts of north-western Australia.

I prefer to sun bake in my enclosure and be observed rather than handled. I love climbing up on my rocks and branches, so I hope my new home has the same!

In the wild we are mainly insect eaters - to replicate this at home I like eating calcium dusted insects like large crickets, woodies and large worms. With the occasional treat of egg!

I also require a UV light, heat lamp and a hide if I need a getaway.
