Hi, I’m Ponjo
Ponjo is a gentle, sensitive cat who needs a calm and understanding environment to truly shine. He can become overwhelmed in large or busy spaces, so he'll need to start his new life in a small, secure area of the home. Blocking off escape holes and hard‑to‑reach spots will help him feel safe while he settles in. Once he gains confidence, he can slowly be given access to more of the house at his own pace.
To help Ponjo feel secure, his new home should offer plenty of safe spaces - scratch posts, cat trees, cardboard box hides, igloos, and access to shelves or dressers so he can choose both high and low resting spots. These cosy retreats will help him decompress and build trust.
Ponjo will do best with a patient adopter who understands that he'll be timid at first and may take some time before showing his true, affectionate self. Teens or older children who can read basic cat body language and respect his need for space would be most suitable.
He's cat‑social and may thrive with a confident feline friend who can help show him the ropes. Ponjo may also do well with a calm, social dog, as long as interactions are monitored and introductions are done slowly.
If you're looking for a gentle soul to nurture - one who will reward your patience with quiet affection and trust - Ponjo might be the perfect match.
